The digital and collaborative nature of our curriculum enables us to update and fix content quickly. If an error is found or new information is discovered, our content is updated often within just a day or two of a problem having been identified. No need to buy a new version of book in order to stay up to date!
Accessible for All
We are working to ensure that our content is accessible to all students, regardless of one’s physical abilities, learning challenges, or technology resources. For example, making content compatible with screen readers, captioning videos, and enabling offline access to content.
Our content is developed in Google Drive to ensure compatibility with all internet-enabled devices (including iPads) without having to download costly software or apps.
The teachers who write our curriculum receive professional development on cultural responsiveness and equity so that our content is as diverse as the students in Minnesota.
All of our courses are licensed under a Creative Commons license that allows derivatives. This means teachers can change the content to meet the needs of their students, as long as they retain the original copyright notice. Teachers can rearrange activities within a course or pick-and-choose content from one or more courses as needed.
For Teachers, By Teachers
We are a partnership of educators. Our curriculum is written, reviewed, and tested by Minnesota teachers who know what works in the classroom. Our sole purpose is to provide quality curriculum freely available to all.
Our partners receive early access to our curriculum and input on development for a mere $1/student (75¢ after the first year), which is 10% of the average annualized cost of a printed textbook. If a school adopts only one of our courses instead of a textbook, they save hundreds of dollars.
Because our curriculum is an open education resource, partners can keep their versions of the materials free of cost – forever!
