Unit Description

Students will work with the research process and the 4th grade State Reports. The students will take the information they collect and build a state tour in the CS program Scratch. Students will make their state come alive by having an animated state tour guide share important features about their state through an interactive state tour in Scratch. They will use a bingo card layout to choose features for their Scratch State Tour. (For example, some squares could assign them to visually represent the state bird or featured landmarks), perhaps other squares could require them to make sounds of their states (state bird, great speech of a leader, etc.). An example will be provided through guided tutorials. Culminate your project by uploading your Scratch State Tour in a Seesaw Journal and Blog so that you can share it with other 4th grade classrooms around the world.
